The Birthing of Created in Colorado

Laura Snyder-Sherman is a home-grown Colorado ranch girl. Steeped in her traditional rural Colorado life, she’s growing a new family of her own.

Nathalie Bouchard, a French-Canadian American, is a self-renowned locavore, sometime world traveler, and a business woman…a transplant to rural life in Colorado since 2004.

It would be difficult to find two people apparently more diverse.

But, lucky for the rest of us, these two spunky women have found common ground: Their driving passion for fresh, local foods and other quality, Made in Colorado products! Together they’ve formed Created in Colorado to help champion a growing trend. Their common purpose is to serve a resurgence of demand for local foods as well as Colorado arts and crafts and a variety of other hand crafted wares!

More About the Partners

Laura was, herself, created in Colorado, and has lived here in Norwood nearly all her life, raising horses and cattle on the family ranch, and now raising two children with husband Andy. With a Bachelors degree in Equine Science and lifelong ranch experience, she recently launched Sherman Boarding. Besides co-birthing Created in Colorado, Laura is plenty busy riding horses, tending her vegetable garden, and keeping up with her beautiful, equally spunky offspring.

Nathalie a “newcomer” to rural Colorado since 2004 along with husband Olivier Marchal, brings to the partnership a business background of over 20 years. Having earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Canada, Nathalie has been creating bookkeeping systems and action plans for customers for many years. She also grows laying hens and other fowl, plus her beloved rabbits, for her and Olie and others. Besides co-birthing Created in Colorado, Nathalie continues to pride herself on lifting the burden of business problems from her customers’ shoulders at Nath Buzziness Service, Inc.
